A sustainable reimagining of our best-selling ultralight down jacket. Because a jacket is supposed to keep you warm (surprise—this one does!) but what about one that won't heat up the atmosphere? We think this flying space rock is pretty awesome, and because we want to keep Earth awesome, we made the Ghost Whisperer/2™, which uses trash instead of making more. With completely recycled face fabric and responsibly sourced, RDS-certified down insulation, this layer brings the heat where it's supposed to.

Perfect underlayer
2.5 weeks in the windy, rainy, chilly Patagonia region. Lot's of hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, camping. Ultra lightweight and warm. packs down small in it's integral case. Nice combo with a waterproof windbreaker. I've only had and used it for a few weeks; Seems quite durable.

Comfy and perfect for SoCal winter
Love this jacket. Comfortable, looks great, fits nicely, and just the right amount of warmth for the southwest. My only quibble is the tiny frickin zipper. Saved a half-ounce of weight but anyone older than a preteen has to struggle to zip up.

Sizes are way off for me
Really nice, well put together, super light. Buuuut runs crazy small, I normally wear large, I’m 6’2” 190lbs 44” chest and skinny waist. This jacket in LG is probably 2 sizes too small for an adult, just got the XL and the sleeves are way lose around the wrists oh well otherwise really nice jacket. For those it fits

Super warm and light, and I get tons of compliments
I went out to the Weminuche Wilderness in Colorado, and I needed something light and warm for my 7 day trek through the mountains. I bought two of these in golden brown (It was the cheapest at the time.), hoping that these would be functional. I layered one over the other, and this kept me warm into the 20s at night. To those complaining about price, of course this isn't cheap. For this weight and the 800 fill power, I don't know what others would expect. Then I came home from my trip from Colorado back to Ohio and started wearing this at work. I dress nice, wear nice cologne, but this jacket is what got me all of the compliments. This was the golden brown. These are sleek and stylish, not bulky of course. I bought the last dark storm jacket at the time (Sorry!), and I am waiting on it, but having bought two jackets before, I'm not concerned. They held up in difficult conditions in the mountains as well. If the dark storm is terrible for some reason, I'll edit the review. I am 5'9, 162 lbs., and the small fits great. The arm length is a little long, but I have shorter than average arms for my height (66 - 67 inch wing span), so this is more me than the jacket. Please keep in mind that this isn't just a coat; it is perfect for ultralight backpacking. For me, these were well worth the money and kept me from freezing in the mountains.

Great coat!
Nothing to dislike! My husband is tall with long arms and it fits beautifully

Extremely lightweight but warm
The lightweight jacket is well made and attractive. A perfect choice for leightweight travel. The fabric appears fragile and I plan to pack in a protective bag (none was provided).

Light, warm and great price
Got mine used from Amazon and it’s basically new. Still smells new or maybe that’s the way down smells. Fits great I’m 5’7’’ 164lbs broad shoulders. Fits great, plenty long, sleeves can be pulled up and drafts at a minimum. A bit overkill here in East Texas but works great when the temps do dip.

A little big
I have become a fan of Mountain Hardwear jackets. This is a very warmth, light and great looking jacket. I am 5'10" and I got the medium (I also use the Patagonia Down sweater in medium for comparison). The fit was right on chest and shoulders but too long and wide in the bottom, I was surprise because I also have a Phantom in medium and the fit is perfect, I replaced the medium with a small, it fits better, feels a little tighter under the arms but I liked it that way. If you have the chance, I highly recommend to try it before ordering. People in the reviews complain about the main zipper, they say it gets stuck. In my opinion this is normal, because the zippier is very small (makes the jacket lighter), you have to use both hands to detach the end of the zipper, I would say "Do not be lazy!, it will not take more than 5 seconds to detach it"
